A Collaborative Effort Between Parents and Teachers While Enhancing Multiplication Learning

Multiplication Brochures: An Answer to Parent Concerns

Ever have a parent express their concerns about their child struggling with their multiplication facts? EVERY YEAR! As teachers, we need to have an answer for them. Even better, we need to have the answer readily available! One of the ways to use Multiplication Brochures is by sending them home for extra practice or homework! Multiplication facts is a topic that parents can feel confident in supporting their learners at home!

Learning multiplication facts is a common hurdle for many young learners. Parents often notice this struggle in their child and reach out to the teacher for additional support. Many times, teachers then spend their own time searching for supplemental resources and activities that will help the child. In our classrooms, we use our Multiplication Brochures to solve this problem. When parents come in with concerns, we simply grab a brochure to offer more practice.

Multiplication Brochures: An Answer to Teacher Concerns

Another reason we might send a multiplication brochure home is if we notice that a child needs more help with a specific fact family. The parent may not have expressed their concerns, but we think that this child could benefit from additional practice at home. We simply run an extra copy (or grab it if they are prepped) and sent it home for homework. The brochures are self-explanatory, so parents feel confident supporting their learner. Parents have often expressed that they enjoy the activities and extra practice for their child. They can see the additional support that the teacher is providing for their learner.

As teachers, it is always best practice to document additional supports that you offer to students. This FREEBIE allows us to list the additional support provided to students. It also makes sure we don't assign the same brochure twice!

Multiplication Brochures: Building Relationships Between Parents and Teachers

Multiplication Brochures are also great to have out during Parent-Teacher Conferences, Meet the Teacher Nights or Open Houses. The eye-catching display makes your classroom POP! They let others know that you are prepared, you want to make sure your students are engaged in their learning and you are willing to do what it takes to make sure that your students learn what they need to learn. We absolutely love that parents often grab some for extra practice. They are left feeling confident in their year with you!

Having this ready-to-use resource saves teachers time and builds collaboration between parents and teachers! They have been a lifesaver in our classrooms, and we know they will be in yours too!
